Inpatient Services of the Department of Respiratory Diseases and Critical Care Medicine
Should an inpatient stay be necessary, the Department has a total of four respiratory wards at three Charité locations. In addition, inpatient sleep medicine diagnostics are offered. Seriously ill infectious and respiratory patients are cared for in the highly specialised intensive care unit. Long-term ventilated patients can be admitted to two specialised wards.

Intensive Care Unit 144i at the Charité Campus Mitte (CCM)
The team of the 18 bedded interdisciplinary ICU 144i specializes in the treatment of severe infectious and respiratory disease. Our unit is part of the ARDS ECMO Center of the Charité.

Ward W3S Sleep Medicine at the Charité Virchow Klinikum (CVK)
The inpatient department of the Center for sleep medicine has 10 beds available in which patients can be examined during the night using monitored cardiorespiratory polysomnography (PSG).
