Research

Scientific work in the Department of Respiratory Medicine focuses on interdisciplinary research into lung immunity, new biomarkers in pneumonia, the study of ventilation-associated damage to the lungs, translational research topics and clinical trials. 

Numerous experimental research groups are located under the umbrella of the Specialty Network: Infectious Diseases and Respiratory Medicine.
