Our University Outpatient Clinic for Respiratory Medicine at CVK provides a comprehensive spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for pulmonary disorders. Our area of expertise lies in treatment and investigation of allergic conditions affecting the respiratory system, including severe bronchial asthma and rhinoconjunctivitis allergica ("hay fever"). In addition, we treat patients with any kind of acute and chronic lung diseases.

Outpatient Lung Cancer Center at Charité Campus Virchow (CVK) and Charité Campus Benjamin Franklin (CBF)
Our outpatient clinics at CVK and CBF, where we offer specialized care for lung tumors (ASV Lung Tumors), are part of the certified Lung Cancer Center of the Charité.
Range of services:
- Initial clarification and staging
- Second opinion consultation with regard to an existing treatment plan drawn up in another institution
- Evaluation of the findings in the interdisciplinary tumour conference and formulation of an individual treatment recommendation
- Planning and implementation of therapy in close cooperation and coordination with the institutions involved
- Treatment of tumors of the chest (lung cancer, pleural mesotheliomas, thymomas/thymic carcinomas)
- Follow-up care and psychosocial support
- Participation in clinical trials

Center for Out-of-Hospital Ventilation and Oxygen Therapy (CABS) at Charité Campus Mitte (CCM)
Our CABS - facility (Charité Centrum für Außerklinische Beatmung und Sauerstofftherapie) treats patients suffering from diseases of the lungs, of the musculature or of the nervous system who are temporarily or permanently dependent on respiratory support . CABS is part of the Charité's certified respiratory support weaning center.

Our interdisciplinary team at the University Outpatient Clinic for Pulmonary Hypertension is made up of experts specializing in diagnosing, treating and researching all forms of pulmonary hypertension and lung vascular diseases. We offer a wide range of examination and treatment options tailored to the patient's individual needs.
Our services encompass treating the underlying condition, including specific medications, interventions, and, if medically warranted, surgical measures, including lung transplantation.

Outpatient Health Center Respiratory Medicine at CCM
We diagnose and treat patients with all forms of lung diseases at our Outpatient Health Center for Respiratory Medicine.
We especially focus on diagnosis and treatment of complex and advanced lung conditions. We closely cooperate with specialists from other disciplines, particularly cardiologists, rheumatologists and sleep physicians.
We closely cooperate with our colleagues of the German Heart Center of the Charité (DHZC) to perform examinations prior to lung transplantation.

Outpatient Clinic for Respiratory Medicine with Focus on Rare and Interstitial Lung Diseases at Charité Campus Benjamin Franklin (CBF)
The outpatient clinic focuses on the treatment of rare lung diseases such as sarcoidosis, inflammatory lung diseases (e.g. hypersensitivity pneumonitis), autoimmune-mediated lung diseases (e.g. lung involvement in rheumatic diseases) and pulmonary fibrosis. Patients with structural lung changes such as non-CF bronchiectasis are also treated in our outpatient clinic. We provide in-depth patient contact and comprehensive diagnostics (including lung function diagnostics, stress tests, echocardiography, special laboratory diagnostics and lung endoscopy) to obtain a complete picture of the disease and to offer optimal therapy. Individual therapeutic decisions are made in cooperation with all colleagues involved from other disciplines, e.g. rheumatology, pathology and radiology.

Interventional Emphysema Center at Charité Campus Virchow (CVK), Campus Mitte (CCM) and Campus Benjamin Franklin (CBF)
The Department's interventional emphysema centre offers patients with advanced COPD and severe emphysema a specialised consultation for endoscopic emphysema therapy for lung volume reduction.

Lung Transplantation at the Charité in Cooperation with the German Heart Centre of the Charité (DHZC)
In a closely coordinated partnership with the transplant outpatient clinic at DHZC, our clinic's dedicated team offers comprehensive care to patients both prior to and following lung transplantation. This collaborative effort involves planning and execution of essential lung examinations tailored to individual patient needs in preparation for transplantation, ensuring the optimal readiness of patients.
The experts at our clinic remain readily available for the post-transplantation care of patients.
